Community Guidelines

1. Our shared community
apnia is a community for freedivers to share progress, learn from one another, and connect safely. These Guidelines apply to profiles, posts, comments, images, roadmap submissions, and every other use of apnia.
Account creation and use of the app are restricted to adults aged 18 and over.
These Guidelines supplement and form part of our Terms of Service. If these Guidelines conflict with the Terms, the Terms control.
2. Respect others
Do not post content or engage in conduct that:
- Harasses, threatens, abuses, bullies, defames, intimidates, stalks, or targets another person or group.
- Promotes hatred or attacks people based on protected characteristics.
- Shares another person's private or identifying information without permission.
- Encourages violence, self-harm, or other serious physical harm.
- Contains sexually explicit, exploitative, or non-consensual material.
3. Protect children
apnia has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Child sexual abuse material, including real or manipulated media, sexualization or grooming of minors, sexual solicitation involving minors, and links, instructions, or networks that facilitate this abuse are strictly prohibited.

4. Keep content lawful and authentic
Do not use apnia to:
- Break the law or facilitate illegal activity.
- Defraud, scam, deceive, or deliberately mislead others.
- Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent an affiliation.
- Infringe intellectual property or other legal rights.
- Spam users or create accounts through unauthorized or automated means.
5. Share freediving responsibly
Do not encourage dangerous freediving or breath-hold practices without appropriate safety context. Never train alone. Always dive with a trained buddy and follow recognized safe freediving practices.
User content is not verified by apnia and is not medical advice, coaching, certification, emergency response, dive planning, or safety supervision.
6. Respect the Service
Do not:
- Collect, scrape, or harvest information about users without authorization.
- Introduce malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated access except through interfaces we expressly authorize.
- Reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by law.
- Circumvent security, rate limits, moderation measures, or access controls.
7. Report concerns
If you see content or behavior that may violate these Guidelines, use Report in the app and include relevant details such as usernames, links, timestamps, and screenshots. You may also contacthi@apnia.co.
For suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, report it immediately in the app or emailhi@apnia.co with the subject “CSAE Report.”
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve relevant information when appropriate. We consider context, severity, and repeated behavior when deciding what action to take.
Child sexual abuse or exploitation may result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination. We may report suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities or child-protection organizations as required by law.
9. Updates and contact
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
